Regional Ambassador Operating Agreement and Details
Regional Ambassadors (RAs):
- RAs are concerned adults who appreciate SportsPageCollegePrep.com (SPCP).
- To be eligible to become an RA — and thus receive an Honorarium payment along with other benefits — each RA must have at least one student currently enrolled in an SPCP 5-day-a-week paid subscription (either the monthly or the annual subscription to SPCP’s “Total Playbook Tuition” plan).
- Each RA must have also applied for, and have been accepted by, SportsPageCollegePrep.com for a specific region. That details of that region will be solely determined by SPCP, which has the right to modify the definition, the boundaries, or the methodology used to compute sales generated within that region.
The Honorarium: The SportsPage College Prep honorarium is a predefined percentage of total student tuition payments (sales) derived from a specific region of the United States after the deduction of applicable sales tax, if any. The Honorarium is paid quarterly to current Regional Ambassadors. Currently, the total Honorarium for each region is 20%. In larger regions with more than one Regional Ambassador, the Honorarium will be divided on a pro-rata basis (for more details, see below). A bonus amount will be paid to Regional Ambassadors whose quarterly payments equal or exceed $50. Currently, that bonus is 50% of the quarterly honorarium. For example, if a Regional Ambassador earned a $50 quarterly Honorarium, that bonus would be increased by 50%, thus equalling $75.
Who Receives the Honorarium: The Honorarium is paid to one or more Parent-Teacher Ambassadors in each SPCP region, depending on the size of each region (as described above). To become a Regional Ambassador for a particular region, an individual must have applied for, and have been notified of their acceptance by, SportPageCollegePrep.com.
When and to Whom Honorariums Paid: Honorariums are paid on a quarterly basis, usually within 28 days after the end of each calendar quarter (March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31). Honorariums are paid to Regional Ambassadors who are currently enrolled with SPCP on the last day of the quarter in question.
Regions: Specific Regions are categorized by state and are described in detail at SportspageCollegePrep.com. Typically, regions are comprised of one or more United States counties.
Availability: The number of Ambassadors for each Region is limited. Applications are evaluated in the order they are received by SPCP. Although most Regions have room for only one Regional Ambassador, regions with higher populations have multiple Ambassadors. In many cases, smaller counties or boroughs may be grouped together to form a single Region.
Pro-Rata Calculation for Regions with Larger Populations: In Regions with multiple Regional Ambassadors, the Honorarium for each Regional Ambassador is calculated based on a predetermined pro-rata percentage that is described on SPCP’s web site. For example, if the total quarterly Honorarium for a Region is $250, and that Region has two Ambassadors, each Ambassador would receive 50% of the total Honorarium, or $125 per Ambassador.
Eligibility Requirements: To be eligible to become a Regional Ambassador, and thus eligible to receive a quarterly Honorarium, the Ambassador must meet the following criteria:
- The Regional Ambassador must have applied to, and been accepted by, SportsPage College Prep.
- Each Regional Ambassador must have at least one student enrolled in one of SPCP’s 5-day-a-week paid subscriptions (i.e. the “Total Playbook” plan”).
- Each Regional Ambassador must live in or near his or her identified Region.
- Regional Ambassadors must be at least 21 years of age.
- Each Regional Ambassador must have a valid PayPal Account where we can send the honorarium.
Calculation of Total Sales in Each Region: As a part of its invoicing process, SportspageCollegePrep.com assigns each student’s tuition payment to a particular Region. Typically, this assignment is based on student information and on credit card information. But due to the nature of online sales, determining the exact location of every single sale is an inexact science at best. Using reasonable efforts, SportspageCollegePrep.com will, at its sole discretion, determine where each student’s tuition payment is to be assigned. That determination is final and not subject to audit.
No Additional Cost to be a Regional Ambassador: Other than the cost of a student’s SportsPageCollegePrep.com tuition, there is no additional cost to become a P-T Ambassador.
Term of This Agreement: 12 months from the date the Regional Ambassador is notified of acceptance by SportsPageCollegePrep.com. After the completion of that 12-month period, this agreement will be extended on a month-to-month basis.
Ambassador’s Right to Cancel This Agreement: Regional Ambassador may cancel his or her Ambassadorship at any time by notifying SportspageCollegePrep.com.
SportsPageCollegePrep.com’s Right to Cancel This Agreement: SportsPage College Prep reserves the right to cancel this agreement, with or without cause, by providing an e-mail notice to any Regional Ambassador or all Regional Ambassadors. If this termination occurs before the end of a calendar quarter, SPCP agrees to pay the terminated Ambassador a partial Honorarium amount for the quarter in which the termination occurs. Said payment will be calculated based on the number of days the Ambassador served during that quarter prior to termination of this agreement.
Tax Reporting: Ambassadors who are paid more than $600 in a calendar year will be asked to provide personal information in order to file 1099 tax forms with the Internal Revenue Service.
Reporting Style and Format: SPCP determines the style, the details, and format in which it reports the calculation of honorarium payments to Ambassadors. Additionally, SPCP is not obligated to provide interim financial reports Ambassadors between quarterly reports.
Maximum Damages Due to Either Party as a Result of This Agreement: In the event of a dispute by either party as a result of the interpretation of this agreement, or as the result of any activities related to thei actions of SPCP or the duties or the Ambassador, monetary damages will be limited to $99. Furthermore, both parties agree not to litigate those disputes.
Modifications to This Agreement: SportspageCollegePrep.com reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time by posting a revised version of this agreement on its website.
