FAQs

You’ve got questions. We’ve got answers.

How is your curriculum different from other online college prep courses?

Our clessons focus, not only on getting you ready to succeed in college, but also on making things interesting. So, the readings, the essays, the math problems, and even the vocabulary-building exercises will help you learn more about the greatest players, teams, and coaches from the world of sports.

Do your lessons focus solely on academics, or do you also address other things?

We focus on the core academic skills that are needed to succeed in college. But that’s not all.

We also address proven ways to be a winner outside the classroom. We do so by sharing timely tips and timeless advice from a variety of sources, including but not limited to, sports legends.

How does it work?

First, you sign up for one of our tuition plans. Then, you’ll be directed to your own dashboard. The dashboard is where you’ll access all your classes, and videos.

How long does it take to complete each lesson?

Each lesson should take about 50 minutes in total.

First, students log in to their student dashboard.

Next, they watch a 7-minute video that introduces the materials in that day’s PDF playbook.

Next, students download that day’s playbook and go through it page by page, completing any written exercises — and watching any videos — in that day’s lesson.

Finally, for students who finish the playbook early, we curate links to informative videos that round out the 50-minute session.

How many plans can I choose from?

We have three options. We offer a free introductory week called the  “The Starting Five.”

The Monday Morning Quarterback Plan is our one-day-a-week option.

Our Total Playbook Plan provides five sports-focused lessons each week.

Can I cancel at any time?

Of course. No penalties. No hard feelings. Game over.

Do you offer refunds?

Of course. If a SportsPage plan or standalone course doesn’t work for you, no hard feelings. Each plan is fully refundable for 7 days.

What does a typical daily lesson include?

We provide materials to fill a 50-minute college prep class each day. A typical lesson includes:

  • A short video that introduces and explains the materials contained in that day’s downloadable student playbook.
  • A 10-page PDF playbook that comprises the core of each day’s lesson.
  • Each playbook includes a grammar or writing tip as well as a sports-themed vocabulary-building exercise.
  • Additional topics in each playbook may include college-level math tips, sports psychology basics, financial literacy tips, or common-sense advice for succeeding in college and beyond.
  • And finally, for students who finish early, we have links to curated videos that round out the 50-minute session.
Who's the lead instructor?

Our lead instructor is Dr. Criswell Freeman. Criswell’s official title is “Doctor of Clinical Psychology,” but for the past three decades, he’s served as publisher and lead writer for three independent publishing ventures, all of which he co-founded.

In addition to his responsibilities at SportsPage College Prep, Criswell continues to write books for Smith-Freeman Publishing, which he co-founded with Ron Smith.

What if I miss a class?

No problem. We keep our classes online through the weekend. Besides, we keep pumping out new classes every week.
